Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resources such as the sun, wind and water and in recent years a number of products have been developed which tap into these resources and convert them into heating for our homes. Subsequently, we are now able to offer excellent quality Solar Heating and Heat pumps which rely purely on some of these natural resources.
Saving Money with Renewable Energy
As well as saving the planet Gas World can help you save money. With low maintenance cost and minimal to run solar energy and heat pumps, these products are perfect for your future.
Solar Panels use energy from the sun to heat a solar fluid held within the panel itself. This fluid subsequently travels to a hot water cylinder where it heats the stored hot water. Depending on the size of the cylinder and the number solar panels used, this can then be used either purely for hot water or for heating and hot water.
Solar systems produce no greenhouse gases and a typical sized system can save around 1.2 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year, adding up to about 30 tonnes over a system's lifetime.
Heat Pumps transfer heat from the ground, air or water into a building to provide heating and, in some cases, to pre-heat domestic hot water. These systems can work at full capacity at temperatures as low as -5 C meaning that the heating capacity will not be affected by the outside temperature. With a ground source heat pump on average you could save from £300 to £1000 on your heating bills and 2 to 7.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year, depending on which fuel is replaced.
